Ghost’s 2025 World Tour Will Be A ‘Phone-Free Expe…

Ghost‘s newly announced 2025 world touring plans will see the platinum-certified Swedish metal band implement an ambitious rule. Those who took the time to read the fine print on the official admat for the run have noticed the following caveat for potential attendees:

‘This show will be a phone-free experience. Phones will be secured in Yondr pouches. Guests maintain possession of their phones at at all times.’

This isn’t an entirely new development for the band, as the same policy was implemented during the group’s September 11th & 12th, 2023 shows at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA. However, as those two concerts were filmed for usage in the group’s feature film ‘Rite Here Rite Now‘, the special stipulations were understandably necessary.

As it turns out, that live concert shoot is likely the reason the masked troupe have chosen to mandate this new rule going forward. The exclusion of phones in the audience at those shows turned out to be a positive experience for the band’s ringleader, vocalist Tobias Forge.

Back in June of this year, Forge told Rock Sound, “I have never seen a crowd interact the way that they did since I was in a club band. They were the best shows I’ve ever done with Ghost, just because I didn’t have to see those fucking mobile phones.”

At least one venue has spelled out the Ghost‘s plans for the North American leg of this newly announced tour. The following warning was provided for concertgoers looking to attend:

“This show will be a phone-free experience. Use of cellphones, cameras, or recording devices will not be permitted in the performance space. Upon arrival at the venue, all phones will be secured in Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event.”

Of course, given the level of stage production and spectacle Forge and co. put into their live shows, this rule also has the added benefit of not spoiling the show for first-time attendees.
