Metal Allegiance Makes Its Return to the East Coas…

For the first time in six years, Metal Allegiance is bringing its “Core 4” members — Dream Theater’s Mike Portnoy, ex-Megadeth’s David Ellefson, Testament’s Alex Skolnick, and Mark Menghi — back to the east coast when they play the Starland Ballroom on September 6.

Like most Metal Allegiance shows, this one will feature a laundry list of contributors that really reads like a who’s who of metal. The band will perform both original songs, as well as some metal covers with the likes of Mastodon’s Troy Sanders, Armored Saint’s John Bush, and Revocation’s Dave Davidson. Other artists are expected to show up, too, so expect the unexpected during the night’s events.

The show will include support from Meanstreak and Held Hostage. It will also be Metal Allegiance’s first show back since its gig this past January at the House of Blues Anaheim as part of NAMM. Speaking of the show in September, Skolnick said he and his friends in Metal Allegiance were excited to get together and jam in.

“Metal Allegiance is beyond pleased to announce our long overdue return to the East Coast. In addition to making up for lost time, this gig will mark the first time, after a number of noteworthy shows in the New York area, that we finally make the pilgrimage across the river. New Jersey may be a State that those of us from NY kid around with, but its place in metal history, both on the musician and industry side, is no joke.
