2024 ‘Mayhem Fest’ Announcement Due This Month

An announcement regarding this year’s apparent return of the once annual ‘Mayhem Festival‘ will be made next week. A post shared via the festival’s Instagram stories overnight offered a relative barebones tease at what’s to come. Once a summer metal institution, the fest last took place in 2015, ultimately shuttering amid numerous challenges.

While several returns of the festival have been teased or rumored in the years since, none have come to fruition. In 2020, a collective headed up by Ash Avildsen (Sumerian Records/’The Summer Slaughter Tour‘. etc.) took on the reigns of resurrecting the festival, along with several other events.

This past April the festival’s social media hinted at this year’s return with a post offering, “we settle the score in twenty four.”
