Ola Englund’s Feared is Back After Seven Years with “Song of The Dead”
Death metal duo Feared, featuring Mario Santos Ramos on vocals and Ola Englund of The Haunted on guitar, has returned after seven years away. Armed with a new song titled “Song Of The Dead,” the promise of new tunes is finally here.
This new track is the band’s first release since their 2017 album Svart. Taking time away from his popular YouTube channel, Englund said the band’s return was a long time coming. Almost too long, but at least they’ve got a handful of completed songs already lined up.
“We’re finally after a lot of years ready to continue the journey of the band Feared, and we’re going back to basics in the style of how Mario and I wrote songs in the beginning. I don’t know why it took this long for us to get something out, but maybe we were waiting for the right song. Me and Mario have already worked out at least 6 more songs so expect more in the future. As for now, we just wanted to release something to keep it alive. 7 years is too long of a wait…”
Produced by Jocke Skog, the track just explodes with in-your-face intensity. It’s take no prisoners death metal that demands your attention throughout its two minutes. Englund’s tone and Ramos’ vocals sound equally beefy in this one — they really just speak for themselves.
Definitely check the track out below. We’ll be keeping a close eye out for any news on the band’s plans moving forward.
