Infectious Grooves with Former Slipknot Drummer Jay Weinberg Add a Cali Show
Last week, we learned that former Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg had moved on and temporarily joined funk metal band Infectious Grooves for an upcoming Australian tour. And since he’s been recovering from hip and leg surgery, it seems the boys felt it necessary to warm up before heading Down Under with a show in sunny California.
On March 23, Infectious Grooves will play the Garden Grove Amphitheater in Garden Grove, California, with the group seeking to get back into the swing of things. That means for one night in the U.S., Infectious Grooves will be comprised of vocalist Mike Muir, guitarist Dean Pleasants, guitarist Dave Kushner, bassist Robert Trujillo, and Weinberg.
As expected, Weinberg’s stint with the band, is temporary. After all, Avenged Sevenfold‘s Brooks Wackerman will be busy with touring commitments with his other band.
Rehearsals for the show, as well as the Australian tour that follows, have already begun. And we know this because they posted photos from it on social media.
So if you’re in the Garden Grove area or you’ve got a ticket out to Australia, you’re gonna want to check out the dates below and grab yourself a ticket.
